Training and the link between the academic and the business worlds are essential for the productivity of the country. It is a challenge for Catalonia to better link training with the workplace environment, to coordinate academic curriculums and to develop optimal professional profiles.

That is why, in the recent years, Foment del Treball reinforced its training centre, Foment Formació, to keep it as a reference point. We understand that it is a social value that needs to be preserved, and there is a need to link it to the real needs of the productive sectors in our country.

Lines of action

Consolidate the coordination of the project between the business world and the university, originated by the public universities in Catalonia. We must establish a link between academic training and companies, and we must ensure that our youths find in Catalonia good opportunities for their career.
Collaborate actively with the administration and the civil society to create a new built in model for Professional Training in Catalonia, including the subsystems of regulated, continuous and occupational training.
Adapt the itineraries and training plan of Foment Formació to the emerging needs, in order to provide an offer which is strictly linked to the social reality of the country.

Lines of action

Influence in the traking and analysis of macroeconomic evolution, reinforcing the statistical processing of information and the periodic transmission of information to our associates.
Following the evolution of the financial sector and its restructuring.
At a macroeconomic level, promote transversal communication between interested activity sectors, in order to identify improvement points and possible derivative actions.
With the goal of creating optimal scenarios to make economic recovery possible, elaboration of remodelling proposals and tracking of the results of those which are in implementation phase, both in Catalonia and in Spain.
