In recent years the Statutes of the entity have been reformed with the objective of modernizing and improving the standards for good governance of the institution. Thus, in 2014 the incorporation of the Code of Ethics, the Internal Regime Commission and changes to the limitation of mandates was regulated.

In 2019, the regulatory changes mainly referred to increasing the presence and giving voice to all the territories of Catalonia within the governing bodies of Foment del Treball, as well as to facilitate the growth of the institution as the big house of companies, large, medium, small and autonomous.
